Where is The Natural Cook Studio?
The original location is in Boulder, Colorado USA.
Natural Cook Studios may also be in a private home, another cooking school venue, a spa or retreat center, or any of these in combination with a distance learning format, virtually available on-line. (link? to online registration)
What does it mean no-recipes?
Our system of cooking teaches you how recipes are created instead of how to follow a recipe. Students who are open to this "process" of knowledge are better suited for this course than a student who requires a recipe for security.
What if I can't afford the course fee, but need to take this course for my health?
Our program is available through financial aid and payment plans. Each instructor who runs their own studio has the option of working out a payment plan.
What if I need to miss one of the classes in the course?
With advanced notice of missing a class, teachers can let you know of the make up date in another session, or you could arrange for a private catch - up class. Each instructor has a policy for this situation in a case by case arrangement.
If this is a professional course for the home-cook can I use my certificate from this course to gain employment?
Even though this is a powerful training, it is not designed for vocational goals. We say "professional level training" meaning the course is foundational to all chefs/cooks/mothers/grandmothers. It is designed to change your life forever if you choose to integrate this system. We are teaching you the same system that professionals use as they cook without recipes, whether they know it or not.
Will I learn about nutrition?
The Main Course implies the study of energetic nutrition. This is easy to understand for everyday cooking. It is about wholeness. We do not have time to address the empirical science of nutrition during the course hours. However many students enjoy conversation about nutrition and health during the break and dining.
